Jordan Vucenic vs Chris Duncan Prediction
Jordan Vucenic lost on his UFC debut against Guram Kutateladze and the ex-Cage Warriors star will be hoping to get a first win under his belt. That does however need putting into some context as the Georgian is talented and prior to that, Vucenic was on a tear in the Cage Warriors.
He now takes on Scotland’s Chris Duncan who has more experience in the UFC having won three of his four bouts in the Octagon. The 31-year-old’s only loss during that time came against Manuel Torres but otherwise Duncan has shown he can compete at this level.
This fight is an intriguing one and one we expect to be closer than the bookies odds suggest. Vucenic is a substantial favourite but we cannot underestimate Duncan. He can pose plenty of issues to Vucenic and is more accustomed to life in the Octagon.
The key will be whether Duncan can evade Vucenic’s takedowns and manage to have some success with his striking but that will not be easy. Duncan’s loss to Torres saw him submitted and we do have question marks about whether he will be good enough to handle a technician like Vucenic. We expect the Englishman to eventually log in a submission at some stage later in the fight.
Prediction: Jordan Vucenic to win by submission
