Jordan Thompson vs Giovanni Mpetshi-Perricard prediction

Jordan Thompson will be hoping for better fortunes in his second match on clay this year. 

The Aussie suffered a shock loss to wildcard Ethan Quinn in Marrakesh last week as he continues to search for his best form following injury. 

Thompson met Giovanni Mpetshi-Perricard in late March with the 30-year-old edging a tight clash in Miami by a 7-6 7-6 scoreline. 

The Frenchman is targeting a push towards the top 20 in the weeks ahead but this is his first match on clay and he has lost all three of his prior encounters with Thompson. 

The 21-year-old has yet to take a set off the Aussie but that could well change here with plenty of French support likely to be right behind him.
