Benjamin Bonzi has dropped just one set so far on his way to the third round, beating both experienced Belgian David Goffin and Italy’s Francesco Passaro. But Brisbane International winner Jiri Lehecka represents by far his biggest challenge yet, especially when taking into account the extra rest Lehecka has benefitted from.

Hugo Gaston was forced to retire hurt in the second round with Lehecka beating him 6-3, 6-1 meaning that the Czech international has now dropped more than three games in just one of the seven sets he has contested in the tournament so far. With a fast turnaround, being able to rest his legs should serve him well from a fitness perspective heading into this one.

Lehecka is a stronger player than Bonzi when comparing the two players and with the former improving on the hard court, he will be expected to get the better of Bonzi over the course of their third round clash.
