Jim Miller: 57th fight for legend Miller who continues to make history
Jim Miller (37-18 with one no contest) returns to the Octagon for his third fight in 2024 at the ripe old age of 41-years-old. The UFC legend comes off a unanimous decision loss at the hands of Bobby Green at the historic UFC 300 event. Prior to that loss, Miller had won five of his last six bouts and the veteran shows no signs of slowing down. In fairness to him and as is the case here, the UFC matchmakers are doing a terrific job in picking some highly entertaining fights involving Miller. This fight against Damon Jackson should follow suit.
Damon Jackson: Submission specialist desperate for win after losing three in four
Damon Jackson (23-7-1 with one no contest) really comes into a fight these days as the younger man but he is five years younger than Miller who he faces here. Jackson is in desperate need of a victory after losing three of his last four bouts. His latest loss came at the hands of Chepe Mariscal in August as he lost by unanimous decision. There is every chance his UFC future could be on the line with another defeat here so there is a degree of pressure on Jackson coming into this one.

If there was a betting market for which bout would be Fight of the Night, this would surely be the favourite.
UFC favourite Jim Miller returns for his 57th professional MMA fight which is a truly staggering number. It is incredible how he still manages to produce the goods and it will be no surprise if he managed to do it once again here.
Jackson has been struggling of late and after already being cut once from the UFC, he could find himself outside of the organisation with a loss here.
Both of these fighters will likely leave everything in the Octagon but we are struggling to see either fights are finishing the other. We can fully envisage something of a slugfest with a scattering of takedowns when either fighter need to take a break.
We marginally prefer Miller in this one but with no real confidence. Our play here would be on this fight to go the judges’ scorecards.
Prediction: Fight to go the distance
