Jean Silva: Brazilian on 11-fight win streak
Jean Silva (14-2) will be looking to make it 12 wins in a row as the Brazilian is enjoying quite the streak. The vast majority of those fights came outside of the promotion but he got his shot by winning in Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2023 and he has carried that form into the Octagon. Since joining the promotion, he had three fights in 2024 and won all three by knockout so the Brazilian is making a name for himself in the organisation.
Melsik Baghdasaryan: Armenian looking to make up for lost time
Melsik Baghdasaryan (10-2) is looking to continue his rise in the UFC’s featherweight division and pick up his fourth win in five fights in the promotion. He came through Dana White’s Contender Series back in September 2020 and has had good success in the Octagon winning three of four. He will be looking to make up for lost time have missed the entirety of 2022 and then 2024 through injury setbacks with this being the Armenian’s first fight in 18 months.
Jean Silva vs Melsik Baghdasaryan Prediction
This bout has all the makings of a Fight of the Night candidate and it is one that should not be missed. Both fighters possess major knockout power and are on the rise in the UFC.
We have to lean towards Jean Silva in this bout. Both have momentum in their respective CVs but Baghdasaryan is hampered by inactivity while nobody has been more active than Jean Silva.
That surely will play in the Brazilian’s favour and he is also that fraction more skilled on the ground which could potentially be a factor. A stoppage is the most likely outcome, but we go with the safe option of taking the Brazilian straight up to win.
Prediction: Jean Silva to win
