Jaume Munar picked up a really good win in the first round as he overcame Yunchaekete Bu 7-5 6-2. It was his return game that made the difference as he generated 12 break points and took four of them en route to victory.

The 27-year-old now faces fourth seed Ben Shelton and this is a mammoth task in more ways than one. The tall American is in good form and has started 2025 well. He beat Aleksandar Vukic 6-3 6-3 in the first round and will fancy his chances of going far this week in Dallas.

He reached the semis last year and will be hoping to go at least that far this week. Munar is as game as they come but he should not pose too many issues for Shelton. Expect the American to progress and potentially in straight sets.
