Jannik Sinner vs Marcos Giron Prediction

World number one Jannik Sinner surprisingly dropped a set to Australian Tristan Schoolkate last time out but he responded well by winning the next three sets to win in four. Schoolkate created one break point and took it, but it was plain sailing for Sinner after the first set.

He now meets American veteran Marcos Giron in the Rod Laver Arena and this is just the second time they have met. Sinner won that match in straight sets back in 2023.

Giron comes off a five-set win over Tomas Etcheverry and he will have to recover quickly if he is to be at his best against Sinner.

Sinner will want to avoid being on court for longer than necessary and the dropped set against Schoolkate will be a little wake-up call for him. Expect him to win in straight sets.
