Jannik Sinner vs Holger Rune Prediction

Jannik Sinner comes into the second week in Melbourne with plenty of confidence after he dispatched Marcos Giron in straight sets last time out.

He now meets Holger Rune and he will know that he has to start fast and be on his game right from the start against the talented Dane.

The pair have met four times before and they have won two matches apiece but it is Sinner who has won the last two meetings.

Rune does have some belief however knowing he has beaten Sinner before and he comes into this one having battled back from 0-1 and 1-2 down against Miomir Kecmanovic to win a five-setter in the third round.

That was arguably not the best preparation to come into a battle with the best player in the world right now however and Rune will have to recover quickly and be at his best here to have any chance. It is hard to make a case for him against Sinner and we expect the Italian to win in three or four sets.
