Jannik Sinner vs Casper Ruud Prediction

Jannik Sinner has appeared to be in cruise control so far this week against some of the best players in the world. The world number one has beaten Alex de Minaur, Taylor Fritz and then Daniil Medvedev without dropping a set and he is ending the season in stunning form.

He faces Casper Ruud in the semi-finals and he has met the Norwegian twice before. Those came back in 2020 and 2021 and Sinner won both matches in straight sets. Both players have come on leaps and bounds since then however and are unlikely to impact this match.

Ruud has done well this week and his wins over Carlos Alcaraz and Andrey Rublev were particularly impressive. The three-set win over Rublev on Friday was solid and he will take plenty of confidence from his performances so far.

The Norwegian is going to have to go up a level if he is to have any chance of beating Sinner. The Italian is playing incredibly right now and we fully expect him to qualify for Sunday’s final with a straight-sets win here.
