Jan-Lennard Struff vs Tallon Griekspoor Prediction

Jan-Lennard Struff was in good form in the quarter-finals as he fought back from a set down to beat Denis Shapovalov in a vital win that set Germany on the way to victory against Canada. That win took his Davis Cup record to 15-9 in the singles since he made his debut back in 2015.

The 34-year-old meets Tallon Griekspoor in this crunch singles match and while the Germans would love to wrap this up in the singles, they will likely be happy to take it to the doubles also given the strength of their pairing.

Griekspoor will be fired up to get the win here and he can take confidence from having beaten Struff in their only previous meeting on the ATP Tour back in 2021.

He has a 10-10 record in Davis Cup singles matches but that does need putting into context. He largely plays the top-ranked player of their opponents so he is playing quality. He is ranked marginally higher in the world rankings than Struff however and has enjoyed another good year.

There is little to choose between these two players but we marginally favour Griekspoor. Struff does love this tournament and often beat players ranked higher than him. We can see this going deep and potentially to three sets so our preferred play in this one is the game betting.
