James Hurrell vs Jim Long Prediction
James Hurrell is making his debut at Ally Pally this year and the 40-year-old Englishman will be fired up to taste the atmosphere. He is ranked 89 in the world right now and he does have a win over Luke Littler on his CV – albeit back in 2022.
He meets Canadian veteran Jim Long who is returning for his second appearance at Ally Pally six years after he made his debut. He qualified for this year’s event due to being the top-ranked Canadian player on the CDC Order of Merit and the 56-year-old will be eager to make it to the second round like he did on debut.
This is one of those matches that could easily go either way. So much will depend on who settles the quickest and that makes this one very difficult to predict. We would be tempted with the underdog for value and that is Jim Long but be wary of this one. We are not expecting a high-scoring match in this one so consider the unders in the Total 180s market.
