Jakub Mensik vs Alex de Minaur Prediction

Jakub Mensik eased into the round of 16 as he overcame Alexander Bublik in the first round on Tuesday 6-4 6-4.

The Czech 19-year-old served up ten aces and won 88% on his first serve to lay the foundations for the win and if he can maintain those kind of levels, he will be tough for anybody to beat in Rotterdam this week.

He now faces a tough assignment in third-seed Alex de Minaur who was just as impressive in his 6-2 6-4 win over veteran Daniel Goffin on Tuesday. The Australian’s serve was not great and that is certainly an area he will know he simply has to improve but his return game was outstanding and proved the key to the victory.

De Minaur is the heavy favourite coming into this one but we are not quite as confident as what the bookies are on this one. The value lies with Mensik but our preferred play is on game betting. Expect a close-fought match that could go to all three sets.
