Jack Draper vs Thanasi Kokkinakis Prediction

Jack Draper had a real struggle in his opening match as he has to come back from 0-1 and 1-2 sets down to eventually beat Mariano Navone. All his percentages were way off what he would be expecting to hit and he is going to have to significantly improve if he wants to progress through the rounds in Melbourne.

He now meets Aussie Thanasi Kokkinakis in what promises to be an exciting and potentially long match. The 28-year-old beat talented youngster Roman Safiullin in four sets and he will have been pleased with that performance overall. His second serve win percentage was only 35% however and Safiullin managed to create 22 break points but only converted four. Draper will not be quite so generous.

The pair have met three times before and it is Draper who has won two of those. Interestingly, all of them went to a deciding set and it would not be a surprise if this one goes the distance.

We expect Draper to win here but he will not have it all his own way. Back the Brit but consider set betting also.
