Jack Draper vs Tallon Griekspoor prediction

Jack Draper is targeting a maiden third round appearance in Madrid when he faces off with Tallon Griekspoor. 

The fifth seed has little pedigree on clay so far in his fledgling career, but he’ll be eager to change that this season and clock up more points to further improve his ranking. 

Griekspoor poses a significant threat to those hopes having crushed Vit Kopriva 6-1 6-4 in the first round and has transitioned well to the surface with a run to the final in Marrakesh and the quarter-finals in Munich. 

The Dutchman leads the head-to-head 1-0 but Draper retired from that match at the end of a first-set tie-break in Winston-Salem two years ago, so there’s little to read into that. 

Griekspoor has the serve and potent forehand to do damage in the Madrid conditions but so does Draper, so it bodes well for some serious fireworks.
