Jack Draper vs Andrey Rublev Prediction
Jack Draper certainly hit the ground running after four weeks out of action and he has gotten better with every match played this week. The 23-year-old did enough to get past the first couple of opponents but he has looked really good and produced at key moments in the two three-set battles with the in-form Matteo Berrettini and Jiri Lehecka.
He now meets Andrey Rublev who he has played three times before and lost to on each occasion. Two of those meetings came in 2022 and the last one in 2023 and it is fair to say this is a completely different version of Jack Draper now.
Andrey Rublev has had to graft to reach this final but the Russian can take plenty of positives for the way he has battled past Alex de Minaur and Felix Auger-Aliassime over three sets in the last couple of rounds.
He has shown great character to reverse the momentum when things have gone against him which is something that he has struggled with in the past. He will now look to finish the job against the in-form Draper.
We are favouring Draper coming into this final. The head-to-head does not make good reading but those matches were some time ago and this version of Draper is completely different. Draper has looked outstanding this week and beaten two players playing really good tennis in Berrettini and Lehecka who eliminated Djokovic and Alcaraz. We like Draper’s chances of getting his first win over the Russian.
