Islam Makhachev: Top P4P fighter in fourth title defense
Islam Makhachev (26-1) will not be fazed by the late change in opponent as the Dagestani fighter is supremely confident in his own abilities. He has only ever lost one fight in his entire career and that came back in 2015 at UFC 192. He has beaten anybody and everybody thrown in front of him over recent years such as Dustin Poirier, Alexander Volkanovski and Charles Oliveira, and now he faces the talented Moicano in his fourth title defense.
Renato Moicano: Late call-up for Brazilian star
Renato Moicano (20-5-1) is handed a golden opportunity after Arman Tsarukyan was forced to withdraw on the eve of UFC 311. Moicano was prepared as a back-up fighter and was training for his match with Beneil Dariush, but took the fight immediately to save the main event and now he has a title shot against the P4P best fighter in the world. Moicano has been on a tear the last couple of years winning his last four fights and the Brazilian comes off a TKO of Benoit Saint Denis back in September last year.

Fair play to Renato Moicano for stepping in at this late notice to headline this fantastic card for UFC 311 at the Intuit Dome but it really is a tough task for the Brazilian.
He will try become just the second person to beat Islam Makhachev and that will be incredibly difficult.
Makhachev has such belief and is operating at such a high level right now, it is hard to see anybody beating him. It is a shame the Tsarukyan fight fell through and while Moicano should make it an entertaining affair for as long as it lasts, it is hard to see anything other than a Makhachev victory.
Expect Makhachev to get the win and stoppage in the middle rounds.
