Ion Cutelaba: 30-fight veteran looking for back-to-back wins
Ion Cutelaba (18-10-1 with one no contest) is looking to win back-to-back fights for the first time since 2017-18. The Moldovan has endured a tough run in recent years in the Octagon winning just three of his last ten fights but he can take heart from winning two of his last three. He comes off a split decision win over Ivan Erslan in September and he will be desperate to follow that up here.
Ibo Aslan: Turkish star on six-fight win streak
Ibo Aslan (14-1) possesses an incredible record of 14 wins and 14 knockouts in his 15 fights with his only loss coming via submission. The Turkish fighter came through Dana White’s Contender Series and has continued his fearsome knockout prowess with successive TKO wins over Anton Turkalj and Raffael Cerqueira. He will look to continue this stunning streak and make it seven wins in a row at UFC Seattle.
Ion Cutelaba vs Ibo Aslan Prediction
This is another fascinating fight on what is a very underrated card at UFC Fight Night 252 in Seattle.
Ibo Aslan is on an absolute tear right now and his knockout power is ridiculous. He faces a step in terms of the calibre of opponent as Ion Cutelaba is a chiselled veteran.
The Moldovan however has been susceptible to being stopped in the last few years and he has been knocked out three times in his 30-fight career.
That does not bode well when facing somebody as dangerous as Aslan. Cutelaba’s best chance may be to try wrestle Aslan but that will not be easy.
Aslan is super dangerous and we think he connects enough to stop Cutelaba and extend this run of knockouts.
Prediction: Ibo Aslan to win by KO/TKO
