Inter Milan Preview: Possible treble

Internazionale have not been as relentless and ruthless as they were last season as they won their 20th Scudetto and earned the second star upon the badge but the Nerazzurri remain at the top-of-the-table ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures.

Simone Inzaghi’s side most recently defeated Atalanta by two goals to nil in Bergamo a couple of weeks ago before the March international break and they are also in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia as well as the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Udinese Preview: Fun Friulians

Following having to avoid relegation on the final day of last season, the Pozzo family appeared to turn their focus back to Udinese with former Legia Warsaw boss Kosta Runjaic taking charge and the Friulians have been much-improved this season.

That improvement sees them return from the international break sitting in the top-half of the Serie A table. They did head into that break, though, on the back of a 1-0 loss at home to Hellas Verona at the Bluenergy Stadium a couple of weeks ago.

Inter Milan Team News: A few key issues

Inter have a few key issues for this one with Alessandro Bastoni missing through suspension, whilst Lautaro Martinez picked up an injury for Argentina on international duty with Denzel Dumfries also unavailable due to a thigh issue.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Sommer; Pavard, Acerbi, Bisseck; Joaquin Correa, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Carlos Augusto; Thuram, Taremi

Unavailable: Bastoni (Suspended), Dumfries (Injured), Zielinski (Injured), Carboni (Injured), Lautaro Martinez (Injured)

Questionable: De Vrij (Injured), Darmian (Injured), Dimarco (Injured), Zalewski (Injured)

Udinese Team News: Thauvin a doubt

Roberto Sava, who has played a lot this season due to Maduka Okoye being out injured, is now sidelined himself with Okoye fully fit. Alexis Sanchez is an injury doubt once again for this one, whilst key man Florian Thauvin is also a doubt due to a foot issue.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Okoye; Kristensen, Bijol, Solet, Zemura; Atta, Lovric, Karlstrom, Payero; Lucca, Davis

Unavailable: Sava (Injured), Toure (Injured)

Questionable: Thauvin (Injured), Sanchez (Injured)

Inter Milan vs Udinese Prediction

Inter Milan have been unable to name their absolute strongest and best eleven at any stage this season and that will not be the case once again this year with key issues specifically at right wing-back and with the absence of captain Lautaro Martinez. They now face an Udinese side that could well be open at San Siro this weekend but they are generally content with their spot in the middle-of-the-table so the motivation may not be there and siding with Inter remains the way to go.
