Inter Milan Preview: Inter lacking intricacy

Internazionale played around half an hour of their game against Fiorentina last week before Edoardo Bove suffered a suspected cardiac arrest. The Roma loanee is said to be recovering well with the future unknown. On the pitch, the Nerazzurri gave up ground on league leaders Napoli and Atalanta after that emotional evening in Florence.

Prior to that abandonment at the Artemio Franchi, Inter continued their strong but unconvincing season in the UEFA Champions League with a slender 1-0 defeat of out of form RB Leipzig thanks to a Castello Lukeba own goal. Prior to that, they had returned from the November international break by annihilating Hellas Verona by five goals to nil.

Parma Preview: Easy on the eye and entertaining Parma

Last season, Parma gained promotion to the top-flight of Italian football with Fabio Pecchia at the helm. Pecchia was the subject of lots of reported interest from several Serie A clubs but the Emilio-Romagna based club kept his role in Parma and has made them one of the most entertaining teams to watch in the top tier.

Their 14 matches so far this season have consisted of 42 goals with 20 scored and 22 conceded. The visitors come into this one on the back of an impressive 3-1 defeat of Lazio at the Ennio Tardini thanks to goals from Dennis Man, Anis Haj Mohamed and Enric Del Prato with Valentin Castellanos notching for Lazio.

Inter Milan Team News: Inzaghi’s rest and rotation

Simone Inzaghi has complained this season about the amount of football his Inter side have played and will play this season so they have been keen on a fair bit of rotation.

They are dealing with a few injury issues, most notably in defence. Italy international Francesco Acerbi is sidelined alongside France international Benjamin Pavard ahead of this one.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Lautaro Martinez, Thuram

Unavailable: Acerbi (Injured), Pavard (Injured), Carlos Augusto (Injured)

Questionable: Di Gennaro (Injured)

Parma Team News: No need to change

Off the back of that aforementioned victory against Lazio, Parma will be able to name an unchanged eleven for this one with no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues.

The visitors are still dealing with a few issues as Alessandro Circati and Adrian Bernabe remain sidelined, whilst centre-back Yordan Osorio is nearing a return to full fitness.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Suzuki; Del Prato, Leoni, Balogh, Valeri; Keita, Sohm; Man, Haj Mohamed, Cancellieri; Bonny

Unavailable: Circati (Injured), Kowalski (Injured), Adrian Bernabe (Injured)

Questionable: Yordan Osorio (Injured)

Inter Milan vs Parma Prediction

Inter put together some slick and cohesive patterns of play, possibly for the first time this season, in their 5-0 demolition of Hellas Verona at the Bentegodi a couple of weeks ago. They now face a Parma side that are perhaps easy to play against but will fancy their chances of causing anyone a threat going in the other direction so Inter do remain favourites, especially at home, but it should be worth watching for the neutral.

Inter Milan vs Parma Tip: Inter to win & both teams to score
