Iga Swiatek vs Jessica Pegula Prediction
Iga Swiatek know she simply has to win this match to have any chance of reaching the semi-finals so she will be fired up to win this final group-stage game.
After beating Barbora Krejcikova on Sunday, she went down to an in-form Coco Gauff on Tuesday so now she is left needing to win this final match to have a chance of qualifying. She will have been disappointed not to have done better against Gauff especially with her record against her but she will look to bounce back here.
Her game is far from her best and that was the case against Krejcikova also, but she warmed up into that match and improved as it went on.
She now has a favourable match-up against Pegula who was woeful in her defeat to Krejcikova on Tuesday. She has already been eliminated due to the two defeats so far but the manner of the losses, especially the one against Krejcikova was particularly alarming.
She was broken four times by her and five times against Gauff, and her body language against Krejcikova was a concern. She is done for the season and looks like she does not want to be there. It is hard to see that changing in this meaningless match for her.
Back Swiatek with confidence and expect the Polish star to win in straight sets.
