THE PREDICTION
After starting their Group A campaign so well, Slovakia were
ultimately forced to cling on to their spot in the top four as they lost
three of their final four games. They had topped Group A after three
straight wins but their loss to Czech Republic last time out saw them
fall to fourth spot and they now face the daunting task of facing USA in
this last eight clash. The Americans won six matches following their
opening defeat to Finland with that run seeing them finish at the top of
Group B. They were underwhelming against Italy last time out but they
will be much more focused for this clash and they should be able to book
their spot in the semi-final as a result.
