THE PREDICTION
Finland made it three straight successes in the IIHF World
Championship thanks to a solid success over Germany in a closely-fought
battle last time out. The Finns edged a low-scoring contest and will
look to retain top spot in Group B with another victory as they take on
hosts Latvia. Having suffered back-to-back losses, the Latvians now find
themselves outside of the top four and have some work to do after their
shootout loss to Norway. They cannot really afford to lose this one but
with the Finns in such impressive form, they look set to fall short
here with Finland able to prevail.
