With number 29 seed Ritchie Edhouse awaiting in the second round, both Ian White and Sandro Eric Sosing could see this as a big opportunity when taking into account all the big-name players they have avoided in the draw. The latter finished runner-up in the 2024 PDC Asian Championship, so shouldn’t be taken lightly here.

Ian White has struggled for an extended period of time and it’s been a good few years now since he was a top ten player. However, a recent Players Championship Finals victory over Michael van Gerwen served as a timely reminder of what ‘Diamond’ can do when on-song.

It’s well worth backing the more experience White to come out on the right end of this one, although it’s unlikely to be straightforward.
