Hull KR Team News: Three changes made
Hull KR have made three changes to their squad, with the main headline being the absence of Mikey Lewis, last season’s Man of Steel misses out through injury. In more positive news, James Batchelor returns following a hamstring problem.
Squad: Tom Davies, Peta Hiku, Oliver Gildart, Joe Burgess, Tyrone May, Sauaso Sue, Jez Litten, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Dean Hadley, James Batchelor, Elliot Minchella, Micky McIlorum, Sam Luckley, Jai Whitbread, Jack Broadbent, Danny Richardson, Kelepi Tanginoa, Jack Brown, Eribe Doro, Arthur Mourgue, Noah Booth
Wigan Warriors Team News: Thompson missing
Wigan Warriors boss Matt Peet will be unable to call upon prop Luke Thompson for this crunch contest, who is injured. As a result, Peet has included winger Abbas Miski, despite him not featured since their win over Warrington Wolves.
Squad: Jai Field, Abbas Miski, Jake Wardle, Liam Marshall, Bevan French, Harry Smith, Brad O’Neill, Junior Nsemba, Liam Farrell, Kaide Ellis, Patrick Mago, Liam Byrne, Kruise Leeming, Tyler Dupree, Harvie Hill, Sam Walters, Zach Eckersley, Tom Forber, Jack Farrimond, Jacob Douglas, Harvey Makin
Hull KR vs Wigan Warriors Prediction
You could argue that Wigan Warriors have caught Hull KR at a good time when taking into account the fact that Lewis won’t be available for the hosts. He’ll be a massive miss and a side of Wigan’s quality could well take advantage of the hole left by the Man of Steel.
However, Hull KR are unbeaten for a reason and the Warriors are in for a real tough test against a side who are combining scoring power with defensive grit. The hosts have all the ingredients to be there at Old Trafford again come the end of the season.
It’s the loss of Lewis that persuades us to edge towards Wigan here. If anyone can capitalise on his loss, it would be Matt Peet’s men and if any team can end Hull KR’s unbeaten start it’s the Warriors, so consider backing them to record a narrow victory.
