Hull KR Team News: Man of Steel Mikey missing
As expected, Mikey Lewis is set for a spell on the sidelines following his injury sustained last week against Wakefield so Willie Peters has a decision to make as to who replaces him. Danny Richardson has returned from a loan spell at Huddersfield so he is in the squad and either him or Peta Hiku could deputise. Tyrone May has also been included in the 21 and his fitness will be assessed to see if he can feature here.
Squad: Evalds, Davies, Hiku, Gildart, Burgess, May, Sue, Litten, Waerea-Hargreaves, Hadley, Batchelor, Minchella, McIlorum, Luckley, Whitbread, Martin, Broadbent, Richardson, Tanginoa, Brown, Leyland
Salford Red Devils Team News: One change as Shorrocks suspended
There will be just one enforced change for Salford Red Devils coming off their loss at home to the Leeds Rhinos last week. The Red Devils appealed Joe Shorrocks two-match suspension but that was promptly rejected and extended by a match so that is another blow to Paul Rowley’s men.
Squad: Brierley, Macdonald, Lafai, Cross, Nikorima, Sneyd, Singleton, Hill, Watkins, Atkin, Wright, Marsters, Ormondroyd, Sangare, Bullock, Foster, Hankinson, Wilson, Morgan, Chan
Hull KR vs Salford Red Devils Prediction
Hull KR have two wins so far but they were by a one-point and two-point margin so it is clear to see that they have not quite clicked into gear just yet. losing Mikey Lewis will not help their cause coming into this match and for the foreseeable and it will need other players to step up in his absence.
Salford will be hoping for a much-improved display this week after they were beaten by Leeds last week. Their reserve team was mauled by Saints the week before but the manner of their loss to Leeds suggests they are a little under-cooked in their preparations too.
They will be fired up to improve on last week and they will make it tough for KR here but the hosts should get the win. We do however like the Red Devils’ chances of keeping it within the spread especially with KR misfiring and now missing Lewis.
Hull KR vs Salford Red Devils Tip: Salford Red Devils +12.5 points
