Hubert Hurkacz vs Alex de Minaur Prediction

Hubert Hurkacz beat Hugo Gaston 7-5 6-3 in his opening match to set up a quality clash with Alex de Minaur on Monday. The big Pole is playing his first tournament in a month as he continues to carefully manage his fitness given the injury problems he has faced and he will be hoping to avoid any issues in Indian Wells.

This clash against De Minaur is one befitting of a later round in the tournament and while the pair have met twice before, those meetings came back in 2018 and 2019 and it is impossible to read anything into those.

De Minaur has started 2025 in fine form and the Australian is making up for lost ground due to his injury issues last year. He cruised past David Goffin 6-2 6-2 on Saturday and he is playing with confidence right now.

We strongly favour De Minaur to get the win here. He should simply have too much energy and movement for Hurkacz and we expect the Aussie to progress.
