Honduras Preview: DEFENSIVE HONDURANS
Coached by Reinaldo Rueda, the Honduran national team are currently ranked 77th in the world. ‘The Catrachos’ most recently shared a goalless draw with Jamaica in the CONCACAF Nations League after a 2-1 defeat of French Guiana a few days before.
The Central Americans have been a little underwhelming in terms of their style of football of late. They are known for being very aggressive and almost violent but they were surprisingly a little entertaining in the league phase with eight goals and four conceded in their four matches.
Mexico Preview: EL TRI ON THE PUSH
Former Real Mallorca boss Javier Aguirre has taken charge of the Mexican national team to try and lead El Tri deep into the 2026 FIFA World Cup during this international cycle, which they co-host alongside both Canada and the United States.
The Mexicans come into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 defeat of the United States in their most recent outing last month thanks to goals from Raul Jimenez and Cesar Huerta. They are now unbeaten without conceding in their last four matches.

Honduras vs Mexico Prediction
Honduras, as mentioned, are known for playing what could be perceived and viewed as quite an aggressive and hostile style of football. They have, though, lacked a bit of control at both ends of the pitch which Mexico will believe they should be able to take advantage of with the qualify of players that they have, especially in attack. Mexico are firm favourites for this one as they get to grips with Javier Aguirre implementing his methods and style of football.
