Holger Rune vs Ugo Humbert Prediction

Holger Rune eased past Corentin Moutet in his opening match and his all-round game was pretty strong so he will be confident ahead of this match. A quarter-finalist last year – his best-ever finish at Indian Wells – Rune can enjoy another good tournament this time around but he faces a tough third-round tie.

He has been drawn against France’s Ugo Humbert who has started 2025 well and beat Kei Nishikori in his opening match 6-4 6-3. His performance was not quite as convincing as Rune’s and there were a number of areas below par for him.

He will have to play much better against Rune if he is to beat him for the first time, in what will be their fourth match on the ATP Tour. Rune has won all three previous meetings and he has also won all seven of the sets that they have played.

Humbert has played some good tennis so far this year but it is hard to look past their head-to-head record. Rune is playing well, looked the better of the two in their opening matches here, and we favour him to win for those reasons.
