Heidenheim vs Mainz Prediction

Although Heidenheim enjoyed a memorable European night in midweek, stunning FC Copenhagen in Denmark, their exploits in the UEFA Conference League will no doubt have taken a lot out of their small squad, which doesn’t bode well for them when it comes to their Bundesliga commitments. Especially when taking into account that Heidenheim are currently inside the bottom three and only out of the automatic relegation places on goal difference.

Mainz are the sort of team who could easily come to Heidenheim are do a job on the hosts, stay in the game, soak up pressure and eventually strike later in the piece as Frank Schmidt’s side begin to tire. When also considering the desperately poor league form Heidenheim are going through, a shrewd play would be backing Mainz to gain at least a point from this one, if not all three.

Heidenheim vs Mainz Tip: Double chance - draw/Mainz
