Hamad Medjedovic vs Ugo Humbert Prediction

Hamad Medjedovic is flying with confidence coming into this final on Sunday after beating top seed Daniil Medvedev in straight sets on Saturday. It was clearly a below-par performance by Medvedev winning just 29% on his second serve but Medjedovic was better than him in all areas and the victory was fully deserved if somewhat surprising.

The 21-year-old Serb now faces Ugo Humbert and he is the man standing in the way of the Frenchman retaining his crown in Marseille.

Humbert has looked good this week and the motivation and edge in his game is clear to see as it so often is when he is playing in French in front of his home fans. He has won all three matches against Alexander Bublik, Lorenzo Sonego and Zizou Bergs in straight sets and he has one more opponent to beat to win for a second year in a row.

It is hard to bet against Humbert based on how he has played this week. Medjedovic’s win over Medvedev was impressive but playing against Humbert and a partisan crowd will not be easy. We expect Humbert to retain his crown in what should be a decent final.

Hamad Medjedovic vs Ugo Humbert Tip: Ugo Humbert to win
