Hamad Medjedovic vs Casper Ruud prediction

Hamad Medjedovic made it three consecutive wins, including at the qualifying stage, after a straight sets win over Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. The Serbian edged a tight match, without losing serve and only conceding two break points, with a 7-5 7-6 win. His serve played a pivotal role overall, with both his first and second serve percentage exceeding 80%. 

Casper Ruud did not give away even a break point as he beat Daniel Galan 6-4 6-3. Despite being relatively secure on serve, Ruud did not perform at his best, making the same number of unforced errors as winners. 

He also committed back-to-back double faults to go down 0-30 at 4-4 in the first set, but that lapse in concentration seemed to jolt Ruud into improving his level on the court, as he reeled off eight of the next nine points to win the first set.

The Norwegian has not truly sparkled as of yet on the European clay, while Medjedovic will take confidence from his run at the tournament so far. We are backing the second seed and defending champion to make it through, but he may have to work for it.
