Grigor Dimitrov vs Gabriel Diallo prediction

Grigor Dimitrov will be a heavy favourite to reach the Madrid quarter-finals at the expense of lucky loser Gabriel Diallo. 

The 33-year-old Bulgarian edged past Britain’s Jacob Fearnley by a 6-4 7-6 scoreline and has yet to drop a set at the tournament. 

The 15th seed will now meet the Canadian world number 78 for the first time after the 23-year-old came from behind to defeat Cameron Norrie 2-6 6-4 6-4. 

Diallo has impressed in his last three outings but Dimitrov will be a significant step up in class and should have too much variety and consistency for the underdog.
