Grigor Dimitrov vs Alex de Minaur prediction

Alex de Minaur made it back-to-back Monte Carlo Masters quarter-finals with an emphatic win over Daniil Medvedev. 

The Russian ninth seed, who endured two gruelling ties to reach the round of 16, never looked like making a scrap of it this time around, as the Aussie cantered to a 6-2 6-2 success. 

In a match where Medvedev failed to make his more dominant serve count, there were ten breaks with 'Demon' converting seven of them. 

The eighth seed will now take on Grigor Dimitrov for the sixth time on tour, with the Aussie leading 3-2, although one includes a walkover in Barcelona. 

As a result, this will be their first actual showdown on clay after Dimitrov beat Novak Djokovic’s conqueror, Alejandro Tabilo 6-3 3-6 6-2.

The key to this contest could well be Dimitrov’s first-serve points conversion. If he can land the big deliveries it could jam up the rapid Aussie and stop his attack-minded return game. If the veteran doesn’t find a high-percentage, we expect de Minaur to cause plenty of damage.
