Grant Dawson: 25-fight veteran looking to make it three in a row

Grant Dawson (22-2-1) won his two fights in 2024 and his TKO win last time out against Rafa Garcia will see him come into this fight on a high. His response to his last loss which was a knockout defeat against Bobby Green has been really good and he will be looking to kick on now.

Carlos Diego Ferreira: Brazilian comes off back-to-back Performance of the Night displays

Carlos Diego Ferreira (19-5) has retuned to the UFC after a spell out of action and looks as good as ever at the age of 39. He lost three fights in a row in 2021 including two knockout losses, but returned to knockout Michael Johnson and Mateusz Rebecki in his last two fights. The veteran has come back in with a desire to put on a show and that is reflected in his two Performance of the Night displays.

Grant Dawson vs Carlos Diego Ferreira Prediction

This lightweight bout has all the makings of a Fight of the Night contest and Grant Dawson and Carlos Diego Ferreira are expected to put on a show.

Dawson has an impressive record and it will be interesting to see how he handles Ferreira’s aggression.

Ferreira is fighting for his legacy now and caution has gone out of the window. That is making his bouts far more appealing to watch and there will be no surprises as to how he will approach this fight.

The interesting part is how Dawson approaches it. He will likely look to be a bit more measured in his approach and that could well work in his favour. Ferreira is always dangerous, but we like Dawson’s chances and a stoppage is on the cards.

Prediction: Grant Dawson to win by KO/TKO
