Gibraltar vs Czechia Prediction
Gibraltar, as mentioned, finished second in League D Group 1 of the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League in the autumn and have a playoff against Latvia next year as they take on perennial UEFA European Championship qualifiers Czechia this week.
Gibraltar took a shock lead in Podgorica the other day to kick off their FIFA World Cup qualification campaign against Montenegro with Dan Bent scoring in the 13th minute. However, the Montenegrins turned the game on its head with goals scored by Stevan Jovetic, Marko Tuci and Adam Marusic.
Czechia performed reasonably well at UEFA EURO 2024 and, as mentioned, have been perennial qualifiers for UEFA European Championships but they have only ever played at one FIFA World Cup, back in 2006. They did manage to defeat the Faroe Islands by two goals to one in Prague the other day thanks to a brace from Bayer Leverkusen forward Patrik Schick.
Czechia are not necessarily the most convincing side in an attacking sense but, especially with Schick as well as his former Leverkusen teammate Adam Hlozek, should still rack up a big win here.
