Getafe Preview: Gritty Getafe

In his second stint in charge, Getafe are once again one of the more hostile and aggressive teams to play under the tutelage of Jose Bordalas. He has his narrow squad, though, once again punching above their weight as they sit outside of the bottom three and the relegation places.

They make things very difficult for pretty much anyone they face and that was once again the case last weekend as they suffered a slender 1-0 defeat to in-form Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano. That was just their seventh defeat of the season.

Real Mallorca Preview: Majorcan magic

Over the summer, following the departure of Javier Aguirre to the Mexican national team, Real Mallorca continued their ambitious project with the appointment of Osasuna boss Jago Arrasate and the Balearic Islanders are in contention for the UEFA Champions League places.

The Majorcans come into this one on the back of an impressive come from behind 2-1 defeat of Girona at Son Moix in their most recent outing last weekend thanks to a brace from Canada international striker Cyle Larin.

Getafe Team News: Attacking issues

Getafe have struggled for goals throughout this campaign with Christantus Uche played out of position as a nominal forward. They have a few key first-team injury doubts, too, such as Omar Alderete, Carles Alena and Borja Mayoral.

Predicted XI (4-5-1): David Soria; Nyom, Domingos Duarte, Aberdin, Jorge Iglesias; Keita, Djene, Jon Santiago, Luis Milla, Alex Sola; Alvaro

Unavailable:

Questionable: Omar Alderete (Injured), Carles Alena (Injured), Borja Mayoral (Injured)

Real Mallorca Team News: Couple of suspensions

Despite playing a more proactive style of football, Mallorca are reliant on a couple of so-called ‘big men’ up-front with the aforementioned Cyle Larin but Kosovo international striker Vedat Muriqi is out suspended after his second red card of the campaign last weekend.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Greif; Pablo Maffeo, Valjent, Copete, Johan Mojica; Antonio Sanchez, Dani Rodriguez, Omar Mascarell, Sergi Darder; Larin, Abdon

Unavailable: Costa (Injured), Manu Morlanes (Suspended), Muriqi (Suspended)

Questionable: Toni Lato (Injured)

Getafe vs Real Mallorca Prediction

Getafe have scored just 11 goals in their 17 matches so far this season. That leaves them hovering just above the bottom three and the danger zone. They now take on a Real Mallorca side that are more progressive but have still been limited in terms off their scoring with 18 notched in 18 games so far this season. As a result, a low-scoring affair in the Spanish capital seems very likely for this one.

Getafe vs Real Mallorca Tip: Under 2.5 goals
