Michael van Gerwen at least went one better in Minehead, defeating compatriot Dirk van Duijvenbode 10-8 before falling to Welshman Robert Owen in the following round.

Although he has endured something of a frustrating Premier League campaign so far, with three semi-final exits followed by a quarter-final defeat last week, MVG still finds himself in the top four heading into Brighton and you feel that he hasn't hit his top gear yet. With Price less-than-convincing over the last week, Van Gerwen is favoured to reach the semi-finals.
