Gerwyn Price got his first points on the board in Glasgow last week, defeating Nathan Aspinall in his opener before losing to table-topper Luke Humphries in the semi-finals.

The Welshman won six of his eight games over the course of the two Players Championship events this week, notably averaging 112.15 against Peter Wright in one of his contests.

In contrast to Price, Luke Littler chose to skip the Pro Tour events in the Netherlands so comes into the Premier League fresh after claiming the spoils in Glasgow last week.

The world champion rode his luck at times and was on the verge of going out against Rob Cross in the quarter-finals, but he ultimately fought his way through the field to claim his first nighty win of the this year’s competition.

Interestingly, Price has actually won the last four meetings between the two players, with three of those coming on the stage. However, Littler’s confidence-boosting run last week spells bad news for the rest of the field and he is likely to start with another win here.
