GENOA PREVIEW: GENIUS OF GILARDINO AT GENOA
On the opening day of the campaign, Genoa shared a draw with defending champions Internazionale before they then defeated Monza a week later. The Genovese then went winless for a few months but managed to turn that around on Mondy as they defeated Parma by a goal to nil at the Ennio Tardini.
Genoa, coached by 2006 FIFA World Cup winning striker Alberto Gilardino, have major issues off the pitch due to the financial and legal pressures now put on ownership group 777 Partners. That contributed to the sales of key players in the summer transfer window such as Albert Gudmundsson and Mateo Retegui.
COMO PREVIEW: CESC’S COMO
Last season, Como gained promotion to the top-flight of Italian football for the first time in over 70 years with Oisin Roberts officially in charge but the Welshman has since been moved back to Head of Development since Cesc Fabregas completed his coaching badges and then officially made head coach in the summer.
The newly-promoted Como come into this one on the back of a slow start to the season that saw a sharp burst and up-turn in form as autumn began but their most recent outing saw them suffer a 1-0 defeat to Empoli in Florence at the weekend, meaning they have now collected just one point from their last five matches.
GENOA TEAM NEWS: SEVERAL ISSUES
Genoa lost key attackers due to sales in the summer but they have also lost several players due to injuries such as Ruslan Malinovskiy and Junior Messias.
As well as that key duo, goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini is a doubt alongside defenders Mattia Beni Koni De Winter as well as former Olympique de Marseille striker Vitinha.
PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Leali; Vogliacco, Johan Vasquez, Matturro; Zanoli, Thorsby, Badelj, Frendrup, Caricol; Pinamonti, Ekhator

Como are dealing with several key absentees for this weekend with injuries to the likes of former Barcelona man Sergi Roberto and former Manchester City man Maximo Perrone.
As well as that injured midfield duo, Belgian defender Ignace Van Der Brempt remains sidelined alongside key defensive midfielder Luca Mazzitelli.

GENOA VS COMO PREDICTION
This one has actually become a little tough to call because a month or so ago it would have seemed like the perfect opportunity for newly-promoted Como to continue a bright and entertaining start to the season against vulnerable opposition. Genoa are not out of the woods either on or off the pitch just yet but they have given themselves hope and have also shown a resilience and stubbornness that is very impressive. A double chance bet in favour of the hosts would appear the way to go for this one.
