Gary Anderson vs Jeffrey de Graaf Prediction
The winner of the PDC World Championships in 2015 and 2016, Gary Anderson gets under way this time around aiming to go all the way once again. The 53-year-old Scot has not been eliminated in the second round since his debut appearance in 2010 and he will be aiming to ensure that does not happen this time around.
He meets Jeffrey de Graaf who did well in his first-round match against Rashad Sweeting on Tuesday. He won 3-1 and averaged 92.3 in a solid performance and if he can improve on that even slightly, he should be competitive against Anderson.
Anderson will be calm and composed here and it is hard to see anything other than a win for him. There is always the chance that a slow start could put him under pressure especially in these early rounds but some of the shock departures of the likes of James Wade, Mike de Decker and Michael Smith will ensure Anderson is fully focused here.
