Gael Monfils vs Sebastian Korda Prediction
Gael Monfils’ age-defying form in 2025 has been one of the highlights of the ATP Tour, and the 38-year-old Frenchman is enjoying another strong tournament having recorded three-set victories over Fabian Marozsan, Jiri Lehecka and Juame Munar so far in Miami.
Standing in his way of only a second ever quarter-final at this tournament is Sebastian Korda, who claimed the scalp of ninth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the third round as he defeated the Greek in straight sets.
The American made the last eight of this event on debut in 2021 and has already made a final on tour this year, losing to Felix Auger-Aliassime in the Adelaide International decider back in January. His Singles results since then have stalled a little though, with this run in Miami his best showing since his runner-up spot Down Under.
This is the second tournament in a row that these two have squared off, with Monfils winning 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-4) in the second round of the Indian Wells Open. There was very little to separate the pair in that contest, and with that being so recent, this one could play out in a similar manner. However, Monfils has spent much more time on court than Korda this week, and fatigue could become a factor for the veteran as the match wears on.
With that in mind, we’re backing Korda to avenge his Indian Wells to defeat to the Frenchman.
