Gabriel Bonfim: Marretinha looking to make it four wins from five in the UFC

Gabriel Bonfim (16-1) is looking to build on his win over Ange Loosa at UFC on ESPN 59 last July and will be aiming to make it four wins from five in the UFC. After losing to Nicolas Dalby at UFC Fight Night 231 – his first ever pro MMA loss – he bounced back well and will now be looking to put another run together with a victory here.

Khaos Williams: Khaos looking to win three in a row in UFC for first time

Khaos Williams (15-3) is coming off successive wins in the UFC and he has an opportunity to win three in a row in the promotion for the first time. He comes off a knockout win over Carlston Harris in May to take his record to 15-3 and he will know that a victory over the talented Bonfim will catapult him up the rankings here.

Gabriel Bonfim vs Khaos Williams Prediction

Bonfim comes into this bout as a fair favourite but it is Williams who has the greater experience and record in the UFC.

The Brazilian looks impressive however and if he continues on this trajectory, there is every chance that he goes far in this division.

His submission skills are top class, arguably elite in this division, and it will be interesting to see how Williams evades that threat. Khaos has never been submitted with all three of his losses coming on the scorecards but he may not have faced somebody as dangerous in that domain as Bonfim.

We like the Brazilian’s chances and even if he does not get the stoppage, he should be able to gain enough Octagon control to get the decision.

Prediction: Gabriel Bonfim to win
