Fulham Preview: European aspirations

Marco Silva’s Fulham currently sit in the top eight of the Premier League at the moment, which should be enough for European qualification. The Cottagers have been inconsistent throughout the campaign but, on their day, they can take the game to anyone.

Their most recent outing saw them pull off a 2-0 victory over capital city rivals Tottenham Hotspur a couple of weeks ago at Craven Cottage before the March international break thanks to a couple of late goals from Rodrigo Muniz and Ryan Sessegnon.

Crystal Palace Preview: Desperate for the cup

Oliver Glasner has done a generally impressive job in charge of Crystal Palace and, after a slow start to the Premier League campaign, have turned themselves into one of the stronger and more consistent sides in England, ideally positioned to win some silverware.

Ahead of the aforementioned international break, Crystal Palace enjoyed three successive victories with the most recent one of those being a slender 1-0 defeat of Ipswich Town thanks to a late strike from Senegal international attacker Ismaila Sarr.

Fulham Team News: Lukic back

Serbia international midfielder Sasa Lukic has returned from a two-match suspension in time for this weekend. They do have a few long-term injury concerns, though, as Kenny Tete remains sidelined alongside both Harry Wilson and Reiss Nelson.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Leno; Diop, Andersen, Bassey; Castagne, Pereira, Berge, Robinson; Iwobi, Smith Rowe; Raul Jimenez

Unavailable: Tete (Injured), Wilson (Injured), Nelson (Injured)

Questionable:

Crystal Palace Team News: Mateta should be back

Jean-Philippe Mateta should be back for Palace after sustaining a serious ear injury due to Liam Roberts’ horror challenge against Millwall in the fifth round earlier this month. Will Hughes is serving the second of his two-match suspension due to his collection of ten yellow cards.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guehi; Daniel Munoz, Wharton, Jefferson Lerma, Mitchell; Sarr, Eze; Mateta

Unavailable: Riad (Injured), Ward (Injured), Doucoure (Injured), Hughes (Suspended)

Questionable: Mateta (Injured)

Fulham vs Crystal Palace Prediction

These two faced off in the league last month with Crystal Palace winning by two goals to nil. Whilst some may blame Silva’s side for that being due to motivational issues, it does also make sense that it is a tactical issue for the Cottagers. The hosts can try and play on the front foot with an attractive style of football but the way in which Palace play on the counter-attack means that siding with the Eagles would appear the way to go for this one in west London.

Fulham vs Crystal Palace Tip: Double chance – Crystal Palace to win or draw
