FULHAM PREVIEW: ON A SLIDE

Fulham need to regroup after picking up just one point from their last three games, which has seen them slide down the table after a strong start to the campaign.

Their most recent outing was a particularly painful one as they conceded an injury-time equaliser to Everton, substitute Beto rescuing a point for the Toffees after Alex Iwobi had earlier given the Cottagers the lead against his former club.

BRENTFORD PREVIEW: ENTERTAINERS

Brentford contested another action-packed Premier League fixture with Ipswich last weekend, and once again they were the victors as they defeated Promoted side Ipswich 4-3, and that is now nine goals scored in their last two home games, although they did concede three on both occasions.

The Bees then reached the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup after defeating Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday on penalties on Tuesday, after regulation time had ended 1-1.

FULHAM TEAM NEWS: ANDERSEN BACK

The outlook is positive for the Cottagers with only Sasa Lukic confirmed to be out now that Timothy Castagne is set to be included in the squad and Carlos Vinicius is thought to be available.

Centre-back Joachim Andersen has served his one-match suspension and is expected to replace Issa Dio at the back in what is an otherwise settled side.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Pereira, Berge; Traore, Smith Rowe, Iwobi; Jimenez

UNAVAILABLE: Lukic (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Castagne (Fitness), Vinicius (Fitness)

BRENTFORD TEAM NEWS: AJER TO RETURN?

After being rested for a small foot injury last weekend, as well as in the midweek cup match, Kristoffer Ajer is poised to return to the starting line-up, as is midfielder Christian Norgaard, who was rested on Tuesday.

Kevin Schade, who scored in the Carabao Cup, is pushing for a Premier League recall but Thomas Frank could well opt for the same front four that started against Ipswich.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Flekken; Van den Berg, Collins, Pinnock, Ajer; Norgaard, Janelt; Mbeumo, Damsgaard, Lewis-Potter; Wissa

UNAVAILABLE: Hickey (Injured), Henry (Fitness), Dasilva (Injured), Nunes (Injured), Thiago (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Ajer (Injured)

FULHAM VS BRENTFORD PREDICTION

This should be a competitive affair between two well-matched sides who have not been too far apart in the table over the last couple of seasons. Indeed, only a point separates them in the current campaign and they come into this fixture with an identical goal difference.

With Fulham's Raul Jimenez and Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo in excellent goalscoring form, not to mention how high-scoring the Bees' games have been this season, backing both teams to score makes sense here.
