Francisco Comesana vs Arthur Fils prediction

Arthur Fils has his sights on a top ten berth on the back of a blistering run of form of late. 

The 20-year-old followed quarter-final runs in Indian Wells, Miami and Monte Carlo with a semi-final appearance in Barcelona and will hope to go one better in Madrid. 

First up in the Spanish capital, he takes on Francisco Comesana, who posted an excellent 6-4 6-4 success over Pedro Martinez in the first round.

The Argentine’s favoured surface is clay and he has reached the latter stages in Rio and Bucharest this year.

However, Fils has the speed and power to flourish in the altitude in Madrid and it’s hard to bet against him here, particularly given his recent hot-streak.
