Francisco Cerundolo vs Francisco Comesana prediction

Argentina’s top star Francisco Cerundolo takes on a compatriot who has been making waves in Madrid this week. 

The form of Francisco Comesana has put the 24-year-old on the verge of cracking the top 60 with a solid 6-4 6-4 victory over Pedro Martinez followed by an even more eye-catching 7-6 6-4 triumph over Arthur Fils. 

Comesana will have to achieve a new feat if he’s to continue his run, however, having never beaten Cerundolo. Indeed, two losses on clay last year suggest the underdog has yet to solve the puzzle when it comes to the world number 21. 

Cerundolo was efficient in despatching qualifier Harold Mayot and if his forehand is allowed to dictate, he should have too much firepower for his fellow countryman.
