Francisco Cerundolo vs Alexandre Muller Prediction

Francisco Cerundolo came unstuck in the final in Buenos Aires last week against Joao Fonseca but he is showing no signs of easing up despite the relentless schedule he has faced.

The 26-year-old comes off a tough three-set battle against Luciano Darderi in the round of 16 on Thursday and the fourth seed now takes on Alexander Muller.

Muller is enjoying a really good week in Rio so far having eliminated Fonseca and then he beat eighth seed Tomas Etcheverry on Thursday 7-5 7-6.

His all-round game is looking good at the moment and it will have to be as he faces Cerundolo in the primetime match.

Cerundolo is the big favourite here and understandably so but we do have some concerns that he may run out of gas at some point given the hectic schedule he has had the last couple of weeks. 

That may not be the case just yet however and he should get the win here but approach this one with caution.
