Frances Tiafoe vs Miomir Kecmanovic prediction

Frances Tiafoe has made the ideal start to his clay court season, reaching the final of the Houston Open where, at the time of writing, he is due to face compatriot Justin Brooksby. The American’s form in the previous tournaments has not been particularly impressive, as he suffered a surprise defeat to Yosuke Watanuki in the third round of Indian Wells and lost at the same stage of Miami to Arthur Fils.

Miomir Kecmanovic was victorious at the Delray Beach Open in February, beating three seeding players along the way. However, the Serbian has not managed to follow that up, with early exits at the Mexican Open and Indian Wells, while he could only manage to reach the third round of Miami before he was defeated by fifth seed Casper Rudd.

They have never played each other before on clay but Tiafoe enjoys a dominant head-to-head record, leading 4-0 and not having lost a set. His run in Houston may have taken a bit out of the two-time US Open semi-finalist, but he should still have enough to get through.
