Frances Tiafoe vs Jaume Munar prediction

It was a quick turnaround for Frances Tiafoe in Monte-Carlo, having just reached the final of the Houston Open two days before he began the Masters event. He saved a match point on his way to winning his first-round match against Miomir Kecmanovic.

He made a fine start in his next match against Alexei Popyrin but in the end, tiredness took over and he lost in three sets to the Australian. The American should now be well-rested after a few days off and ready for a deep run in Barcelona.

Jaume Munar couldn’t make it out of qualifying for Monte-Carlo with a defeat at the opening stage to Daniel Altmaier. He did beat Daniil Medvedev in Miami on his way to making the third-round in March but hasn’t managed much success on clay yet this season.

Munar has won two of their three matches on clay, with the head-to-head being 3-1 in his favour overall. However, Tiafoe won their last match in straight sets on the surface in Lyon last season, and we can see a repeat of that happening here.
