Frances Tiafoe had no issues in eliminating Alexandre Muller in the first round and as predicted, the Frenchman was a little below-par after a long week in Rio. Tiafoe however played pretty well and he will know there is still room for improvement especially on his serving where he had just 54% first serve percentage and won just 43% on his second.

He now meets Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina who is in good form himself right now. The 25-year-old beat Mattia Bellucci in the first round but he had to show all his battling qualities after losing the first set and then going to a tie-break in the second. He responded well and ended up winning 1-6 7-6 6-2 which will give him confidence coming into this.

On form so far in 2025, Davidovich Fokina is the form player especially as Tiafoe has yet to get motoring. The American has won both previous meetings in relatively tight matches and we see this one following suit here. We marginally favour Tiafoe on no more than gut feel, but we like the overs in game betting.
